Children & Teenagers
Children, "tweens" and teenagers, are very susceptible to disease because of their habits. Either by sharing one another’s drink, kissing or even via sexual relationships, serious vaccine-preventable diseases can occur.
For children between the ages of 8-16, we strongly recommend the following vaccines:
Hepatitis A and B
As part of the government’s desire to limit exposure of individuals to vaccine-preventable diseases, the Québec government has recently begun administering, free of charge, two doses of the Hepatitis A and B vaccine. While we applaud this initiative, some individuals need three doses to achieve full protection. Make sure your child is protected; make sure your child receives all 3 required doses!
Cas Medic works in partnership with the Centre de Santé et Services sociaux to conveniently administer free public vaccines in your home. However, Cas Medic will charge a transportation and administration fee and will charge the full price for the 3rd dose of Hepatitis A and B vaccine as this dose is not covered by the publicly accessible plan.
If you want to learn more about hepatitis, please refer to this hepatitis document, which is approved by Cas Medic.

Meningitis B, C, Y, W-135
While most children receive the Meningitis C vaccine as part of their routine vaccines at birth, recent studies show that protection against Meningitis fades after the age of 5.
This is why we recommend re-vaccinating your child with our 4-in-1 meningococcal vaccine.
Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
Thankfully, many cases of cervical cancer can be prevented via vaccination against the virus known as the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). As a way of protecting our daughters further, the HPV vaccine is currently being offered to boys as well.
This vaccine is successfully being offered in your child’s school. However, if your child has missed a dose, through absence from school or if you are no longer eligible to receive this vaccine, Cas Medic can help.
